Die Caritas unterstützt, begleitet und berät Menschen in schwierigen Lebenssituationen, unabhängig von deren sozialer, nationaler oder religiöser Zugehörigkeit. Migrant*innen und Flüchtlinge in Österreich befinden sich häufig in schwierigen Situationen und ihre Stimme wird im politischen Diskurs oft überhört. Die Caritas ist davon überzeugt, dass der Blick auf die Ärmsten sowie der Einsatz für benachteiligte Gruppen von großer Bedeutung für die gesamte Gesellschaft sind. In diesem Sinne zählt der Einsatz für Migrant*innen und Flüchtlinge zu den Aufgaben der Caritas.

Caritas supports, accompanies, and advises people in difficult life situations, regardless of their social, national, or religious background. Migrants and refugees in Austria often find themselves in challenging circumstances, and their voices are frequently ignored in political discourse. Caritas is convinced that focusing on the poorest and advocating for disadvantaged groups is of paramount importance to society as a whole. In this sense, working with migrants and refugees is one of Caritas' core missions.
